PBS KIDS Early Learning Champion

In 2018, I was one of seventeen educators to be honored as PBS KIDS' inaugural class of Early Learning Champions. I was selected for my commitment to diversity, equity, and representation for young learners.

Early Learning Policy Fellow

During my 2016 - 2018 intensive fellowship at the PA Department of Education's Office of Child Development of Early Learning, I explored the many components of Pennsylvania's comprehensive early childhood system, pathways for growth for our community, and advocacy and governance in education.

In 2019, I joined a panel of community leaders to speak on obstacles and opportunities facing metropolitan Pittsburgh’s African American communities,

Emotions at Play with Pixar's Inside Out

As part of the development team, I acted as an education advisor to ensure synergy between exhibit pieces and learning goals. Additionally, I lead a team of 5 educators to create an education guide to accompany the exhibit.

Tools for Anti-Racist Teaching

In collaboration with PBS LearningMedia, I produced and directed a two-part, eight-episode educator professional development to investigate the ways in which racism, mental health, history, and education intersect. Episode features include me, Dr. Bettina Love, Myles Bess, Blair Imani, and more.
